Believe me these trucks need a tune, BAD. My first run for some reason I thought there was only 2 yellow then the green. So once the second yellow shut off I floored it. Between what Im guessing is weight transfer and torque management It took forever to get going. I didnt even red light lol I had enough time to watch the 3rd yellow light up and then go green; I had a .044 reaction time lmao.

From the begining, I never really liked the way our trannys shift past second gear. I feared that my tranny was defective, I'm still tempted to take it to the dealer for a re-flash because it shifts like crap. I have a question about the manual mode shifting, do you still experience the rev-limiter "flutter" during a WOT shift from 1st to 2nd? I have always felt that "soggy" shift, but now that I have a magnaflow muffler, I can really hear it. I hope somebody out there will make a good performance tune, it would really make a difference. I wonder if the R/T's have this problem, I understand they have a more aggessive torque converter, they should have the same tranny, right?

Some good info in this thread. Although I never plan on taking the truck to the track, I'm subscribing just to follow along.

2nd prime is in place of 3rd kind of, and when your shifting it shows up as 3rd. Next time your out driving use the auto shift and bump it down to 3rd. then bump it down to second, the rpms will only raise maybe 3-400. Than punch it in second and shift at 5400, it will shift around 5600 like v8440 said. Once it shifts it will say 3rd but only drop the rpms to just over 5000 and youll have to shift again. Thats where 2nd prime is, i hope that was clear enough its hard to explain lol

Is second prime really another gear? Or is it the difference between the Torque converter being locked or unlocked?
