This is what a dealer in Sergeant Bluff Iowa is offering on his showroom floor. The truck is an SLT Bighorn.

If you aren't offered this right away, I would find another dealer.

I just talked to a salesman and if I order a truck (I might on Monday) they will lock my price until I take delivery.

While its possible that employee pricing will not continue, allpar only 'reports' things from other sources...the rest is all rumor and should be noted as such...they're not a news source.

That's only ~$8,150 off. You should be getting at least 12k+ off. I got almost 15k off my truck.

Be sure to get that in writing.
I was told by one dealer that locking in wasn't possible if the truck was ordered. But we all know some dealers "may" be less than truthful to get rid of inventory. Didn't matter to me as I wasn't ordering one. Just a heads up.

Well, they are not getting rid of inventory, they do not have it

If I did not get the price I simply would not take the truck. Just because you order does not mean you have to take it when it comes in.

In writing for sure buddie. That is false. You are going to get screwed over on that deal.
Hopefully he is telling you the truth.
Once it is over no dealer in their power has the right to over-ride and lock a price in.

Thats a horrible price!! Were in different states, but the Lonestar (Same as bighorn fully decked out with msrp sticker of $37,108. I got it for $27,xxx can't remember. You should be getting atleast $10,000+ off for sure now. I purchased my truck 3 months ago and they have better deals now. Find a different dealer!

i think that this is heavily dependent on your area, among other things...as weve talked to a family member who is a salesperson, and many of the discounts that people are talking about on this forum arent available in my area...such as the hemi discount. my estimate took the listed base price of 39,000 down to 29,773..

It should be the starting point for your dealings though. If they aren't offering at least that much off at the start then go find a dealer that is.
