I need help with tube steps
I ordered the MOPAR chrome tubular side steps for my 09 ram crew cab. In the accessories booklet they have a picture of the "WHEEL-to-WHEEL TUBULAR SIDE STEPS" (picture 15 on page 8). It has three black standing pads and is described as wheel well to wheel well. This on should measure about 98 or 99". The one I got was only 86", only has two black pads, and doesn't cover from well to well.
I know that I saw a picture somewhere of the three-pad tube steps. Could someone PLEASE measure their three-pad steps and give me the part number. Or simply confirm that such steps exist. ASAP. Feel free to call my cell 207-576-6552.
THANKS

Are you sure that part #has 3 black step pads or are you basing your find on internet pictures? The reason I ask is because I got that number from internet pictures of steps that ran the length of the cab (crew), with 3 pads and they didn't match up when I opened the box.
I am basing it my research, I purchased the part #8211496 with the two step pads, the 501's were the wheel to wheel part number. Here is a pic I found in researching this for myself.

Was the truck in the picture you looked at red? That's the generic photo for all Mopar Tubular Side Steps.
Here is the link to the 3 tubular side step options available from Mopar --

The 501 P/N appears to be the one you want. ???

GODSPEED and STORMFRONT - thanks a ton for the help. Some coincidence that the link that stormfront provided is my dealer (Lee Auto) in Maine. I'm pretty sure that with both your help, and my salesman, we have yet another DODGE / MOPAR mystery solved. Salesman called and he has the 501s in stock. I asked him to please open, check for 3 black pads, and measure 98 or 99".
Once again thanks a bunch.
