Smile Pulled boat 1st time

I am getting the interior redone this week. Hooked up the boat.. Pushed the Tow/Haul button. Was about 30 miles where I hads to go.

!st: The ride in the truck was awesome!!!
2nd: No bouncey-bouncey at all
3rd: Truck pulled very good
4th: The brakes, need to get use to them, there good but not GREAT
CC slt loaded, 3:21 . 20's .. Buckets/rambox
LIKE THE WAY THE TRUCK TOWED
Boat 21' pontoon / single axle/ around 3300lbs
Not heavy, just catches a lot of wind
MOPR/ Rambox

My truck pulls my boat like a Radio Flyer. It's only 16 foot, but can hardly feel it back there.
It's nice. 3.92's pull great.

caps, just curious; what was your previous truck? The brakes in my truck are light years ahead of my prior f150, one of the main reasons I bought this one. Although your 20's do hurt your braking a bit.

i would say the brakes on the 09 are a lil softer than my 06. Kinda wish the 09 had more responsive braking

it was a 06 chevy ext cab, I had 141,000 and original brakes. They had disc in front and drums in the rear. It seems to me the brakes on the dodge are a lil' soft. Took a lil' getting used to.
In one of the reports I read, they had the truck stopping distance a bit long.?

How was the traction on the boat ramp? I have a CC 4x2, Hemi, w/ goodyear 20's and open rear end. Does the ESP help? I plan on buying a 22' to 26' boat by the end on the year for saltwater fishing. The ramps down here are not to steep, but at low tide you have to back up into the water. Was wondering if I'll need to upgrade to an LSD or locker if I buy a big heavy boat.

1st: The ride in the truck was awesome!!!
2nd: No bouncey-bouncey at all
3rd: Truck pulled very good, plenty of power
4th: The brakes were great (but the trailer does have nice surge disc brakes)

My boat & trailer is about 4,750 lbs. Only towed it about 25 miles total to get it serviced before the summer. I do miss my tow mirrors though.

I don't know about traction yet, but my '07 did just fine up a rather steep wet ramp, so I'm guessing the '09 will as well, but the wider tires definitely help. The stock Goodyear HP's when wet and with a trailer behind the truck won't do ****.

I have a 25 foot bluefin with the trailer and loaded it is around 6800lbs, my truck pulls it better than my 04 which had slotted and crossed drilled rotars with kevlar pads, it was a 2wd with a corporate, never had a problem except at very low tide where the ramps break to a steeper grade and then you either need more weight on the rear end or 4x4, now I have a 4x4, was out today and caught two dophin and got out of low tide ramp without a thought. The Rams breaks are great if you come from another truck brand then yes it takes getting use to, but I have drove the 06 F150 and 08 silvers and they do not compare.
