Yes, I saw nearly $13K off a $53+ truck. I think it had every option except the chrome package (and items like a drop-in bedliner that would not be compatible with other options like the Rambox).

Let me clarify for those that were trying to clarify for me...

Sticker: $40,600
Discounted price: $28,995
less trade in: $7200 (2005 Toyota Corolla LE 50K miles, $1200 body damage). Don't feel I got "screwed" on the trade at all. No body damage, probably would have been better. Anyway, it was a 3rd vehicle and didn't need it.

I bought my 09 Ram 4x4 SLT Hemi with the bucket seats in March and it was stickered at 38,000. I walked out the door for 27,000. I didn't have any trade-ins. I put 2,000 down, so I financed 25,000 through Chrysler. Employee Pricing brought it down to around 30 something, then I had the free hemi and I got 3,000 in rebates.

They are dying for business. They have so many trucks on there lots. If you live in a big city, call or e-mail different Dodge dealerships and see what their price is and keep going back and forth until you can't go any lower in price. Tell the other dealership to give you their truck for lower than the other dealer is giving you their truck for.

Hello:

I'm new to this forum

Instead of starting a whole new "how much did you pay thread", I thought I'd just continue with this one.

I'm in the market for a pick-up truck. I'm debating between the Tundra and Ram. Based on the number of rebates being offered by Dodge, it seems like a better buy at the moment.

The last post in this thread was back in May. Being that it's July, how much are you paying for your new dodge ram?

I'm looking for 4x4, hemi, quad cab, with a bunch of goodies.

Thx,
PJ

I have an SLT QC with an MSRP of 37,185. I traded in a 1978 Jeep CJ5 with no doors, no top, no 5th tire, a refurbished 31 year old engine that just didn't run quite right and the jeep needed some TLC just to start up each time. I paid 24,999 after title, tax and whatever else.

My sticker was $42k. With all the rebates incentives, it took a hare over $10,000 off of it, but the dealer wasn't willing to budge any lower than that. They called it their "green tag" sale and wouldn't budge even a little. Same story with the 09 charger we bought for my wife. Good discounts and a good overall deal, but no negotiation on price at all. They did end up throwing in a year of free oil changes on hers though. I've heard other people mention the same thing lately, dealers not willing to negotiate like they used to, kind of a take it or leave it atmosphere. The discounts might be better now than when I bought mine though, I bought my truck before they announced their bankruptcy, so idk.

Mine was a little over 37K. I paid 27K, just over 10K off. Plus tax, title, ect.

I don't know if you checked, but NADA book value for that Jeep was $6,881, if it had the six cylinder engine. If it had the 304 V8 it was worth more. So you paid $31,870 for your $37,185 truck. About $5500 off MSRP.
