The ones i have are the right size and work perfectly. I had a person compare the length and grip range (grip range is related to the length of the rivnut) of mine to the ones that they got from the original kit. If want to look at the specs of the ones I have for sale, go to my ebay auction at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=170342780372
to see the specs. You will find that the ones I have are shorter (17.40mm compared to 21.46 for the longer ones). I did research on finding these for several weeks. Bought 100 of them and only used 12 for my old boards, so I am selling the rest.

One important aspect to this installation is putting lubricant on the bolt used to collapse the rivnut, just installed the 82211501ac (wheel to wheel kit), came with a rivnut tool from mopar, got to the third rivnut and it installed awkward, realized I hadn't lubed the bolt as stated in the quide, did that and the rest installed very easy and perfect each time, lubed the bolt between each one, only had to do 3.5 turns and every one was perfect at 15lbs torque.

Well not a sticky but a lubricated. Now that makes sense, I seem to remember the air riv tool if you didn't lube the end occasionally, snap, then you have to put a repair into the computer and it's a pain in the *** to get out, unless they just start and it messes up my luck when I was on repairs they had it almost tight then surgery had to be performed LOL. Most likely a rattle from the end that fell in the a pillar, never could find the other side.

This thread is what brought me to this forum. Thanks for all of the help!!

I wanted to share a couple of things that helped me. I did my first 6 and had some trouble with a couple of them. the last 6 (i did that the next day) I did a couple of things different: I put a layer of electrical tape on the rivnuts, I changed the tool holding the bolt from a socket to a nutdriver, and I lubed the bolt between each rivnut. I finished these six rivnuts in about 10 minutes. I think the thing that made the biggest difference was using the nutdriver. It gave me alot of pressure to keep the whole thing against the frame.

Hope that helps those who might have some issues.

Chaz

Anyone know where you can get the flat washer with threads in the middle? I need a couple of them for some used steps I just purchased.

Thanks
