Warning: USE ONLY PLASTIC CAPS ON TPM Sensors ...metal caps can permanently fuse to the aluminum stems.

My caps are green because they are filled with nitragion (sp),. the dealer charged 99.00 for this which is a 1 time charge and will be free replacement from now on ( he is on the dropped dealer list, haha, on me) I never noticed and thought this was standard on the 2009s but I noticed this is not mentioned here, they use this trick in airplane tires were I work because the molecules are bigger than air and will not seep thru rubber giving a more consistant airpresure, anybody else with green caps? I am pretty sure they are medel

I have the green caps too. They are the ones that seized to the alum. valves. I hope the dealership will be able to fix them before I leave on Wednesday.

BE CAREFUL!!!! I'm going to the dealership on Wednesday, and the more I think about it the madder I get. By Wednesday I should be ready to fight them for new stems at least the 2 that are seized.

Like a few others my TPMS has black plastic valve caps on the metal stems. No rust that I can see on the valve stems themselves.

Took my truck to the dealership today. They replaced the broken valve (TPS) and took the cap off of the other valve. They also replaced all four valve caps with new green plastic ones. Best of all.....it was all covered under the warranty.

Hats off to Dodge City Milwaukee, you will be sorely missed!
