I was reading 4 wheeler magazine or off road magazine (can't remember what it was), but they mentioned how they had a very similar problem on their project Ram and what they did to fix it. Someone may want to Google that?

Why do older 4x4's have stabilizer shock on the front, even jeeps have them. Maybe our truck needs one or a bigger one if if has one. A death wobble used to come from upper ball joints too did it not, you hit a bump that is more of a dip situation on a freeway rather than a bump and the wheels would violently shake.
I guess with Rack and Pinion the shock would not work either, where would it go?

I agree with a poster before, people having this issue should list there year, trim, options, etc.

I am looking to buy a 2010 very soon and am a little worried. Is this an issue with just 09's or 10's as well? If it's just 09's, maybe they fixed an issue you may be able to call Chrysler about and inquirer.

It's AMAZING how incredibly incompetent some of the dealers are with service. Under no circumstances should your truck be in their garage and not go through a VIN lookup to see if you need a recall done. Unreal.

It's not just Dodge all the auto companies are suffering will poorly trained techs. They charge 100 bucks an hour and want them to work for nothing. Got a bud works at a GM dealership he is ready to go try to work in a private garage or someplace else because the working conditions and lack of training making him look like and idiot they want to lower his wages because they haven't trained him. It's sad, and not just Chrysler.

Ok I had a balance and rotate done at a Firestone store here in texas and wound up with a pretty good vibration at 70+....I took it back had a friend at the same Firestone redo the job. He made the point that if you have the chrome clad wheels it is imperative that the wheel be chucked from the inside to balace or the balance will be incorrect. there is several different ways to balance a wheel....most time doesn't matter but on the plastic cover if it is chucked from the outside the wheel will not be properly centered. After I had redone the shake went away....it might be that simple for some of the problems. I took mine to firestone to get the lifetime balance and rotate because I dont want to go to dealer unless i have to and everytime i need a rotation i get them balanced free for now on.

I posted earlier on here that i had this problem after my first b/R, they found one tire so bad that they replaced it, the rest were indexed with the rim in question and re-balanced, had the tires done again at the end of Dec. all is still well no problems. there is also an issue with some truck have shudder in 4x4 high on stock vehicles this maybe playing a factor if there is a problem. Took mine out and ran it in high 4x4 no problems, some people don't have the shudder until they put a spacer in the front, don't know if some are linked, just a thought, glad mine was resolved by the tire issue (flat spot).

I( have apeice of information on wheel shake in 2001 Ram 2500's ! Earlier this year , I typed in recalls on 2001 2500 rams and I if I remember correctly , I think it was NY , not sure , well any way a state had Chrysler buy back all their 2500 ram because of wheel shake and they said they did not want their state workers to drive an unsafe vehicle ! Upon reading this , I contacted Chrysler with my concerns ! My dodge ram was made the same time that the ones got recalled was built ! When I contacted them , I told them that my truck had the same issues , and why didn't they send out recalls if the vehicle was not safe to drive ! They gave me a line of bull , and I have worked for the #3 Chrysler for almost 30 years !It was all kept quiet and they didn't want anyone to know ! I have it saved on my computer some where ! I have had everything replaced in my front end ! If this wasn't such a good running truck ,and dependable , I would have got rid of it ! I will look it up and when I come across it , I will put in in here with the location to find it !

I have had the same issues as above. I had 3 alignments, the wheels balanced 4 times and each time they said it was off from the previous balance and same for the alignment. Finally the dealer said that the tires had "hard spots" When they told me that, I thought they were full of you know what. I had the tires spun on a road force balancer and 2 of the tires came out with a high reading. I got those 2 tires replaced from the manufacture and all of my vibration is just about gone.

This may not be your issue, but I figured that I would pass it along.
