I never expected that stance, but did expect the hood. Especaily since Mopar makes it/sells it.

4.10's
looser torque converter

In favor of mine:

Weight-here are the things that the r/t window sticker posted seems to include that mine does not have:

10 way power driver seat-mine is a manual seat, power nothing.
Big *** stereo, probably only adds a few pounds
class IV hitch-mine has no receiver hitch
Probably a little less rotational weight, since I have 17's. The tire height may be about the same, but less of mine is wheel.

I'm gonna guess that a well-driven r/t in similar conditions will probably get a couple of tenths on me. I hope we find out soon!
I took my truck to the track today, but it was more of an indication of potential than anything. We are on the Hot Rod Power Tour, so prepping for the track wasn't exactly at the top of mind. We pretty much are on a 3k road trip and stopped off to run. The truck was full of luggage/junk, the tank was on e(running 87), and the weather SUCKED!

Everyone was running slow. There was a cool 6 speed LS1 Colorado that was in the 15s, a few zr1 vettes in the high 13s, and my buddy's lightning was running consistently 4 tenths and a few mph slower than usual.

My first run was just a pull up, burn out, and go. 14.76 at 90mph, it felt better than that. It pulls the entire way, and it's so smooth.

The second run started much better. I didn't warm the tires up again, and I launched from 2500 rpms. It chirped a bit but hooked and went. Through the 1/8th mile I was 2 tenths and 2 mph faster than the first run. I had put the truck into 2nd, and kind of forgot once I got going. I thought it would go into 3rd on it's own, but it just kind of held steady just below the limiter. I did finally bump it over into 3rd once I realized what I did. I actually ran quicker(14.71) at 81 mph. Ha! I guess the announcer couldn't figure out why my time didn't match my mph.....but I still smoked the el camino.

My feeling is that it's pretty much a low to mid 14 second truck, which is what I expected.

Besides, for $33k they definitely could have thrown in a wing and stickers.
I looked at them in advertisements, and yes, it's not worth the money at purchase, but will be in the long run. Should have put the 392 Hemi with a dana 60 in there for that kind of money. IMO, the 410 gears on 20's would be equal or close to the gear ratio of 392 gears on 17's which is what the regular package comes with. Worth the money or not, I would have bought an RT anyway, but could'nt afford it. And if they really wanted to make the RT right, should have came dropped like the SRT-10.

With some good air and better gas i'm sure it will do low 14s easy.

I would hope it would do high 13's. We already know a rcsb hemi with 3.92's and 17" wheels will do low 14's. Hopefully someone will get one to a track in decent conditions and see.

How many have done that? I know you have, but has anyone else even come close? Until you see a few rcsb trucks run that I wouldn't consider it the norm.
I guess there aren't a ton of guys out there with rcsb trucks though, and even fewer that run them

I was looking for it to be a mid to low 14 second truck, and that's what it did. Looking at a 1/8th to 1/4 mile conversion, the second run would have been a 14.4. Taking into consideration the weather, the gas, and the extra weight in the truck, I guess 13s are a possibility in ideal conditions.

I wasn't going to run it again, but we were in Bristol at Thunder Valley, so we had too

I was still running 87 and still had a truck full of luggage, but our best time was 14.6 @ 93. The weather was horrible for racing, the corrected time was actually 14.0 at 96.

100%stock, running 87 gas and extra weight and still running a corrected ET of 14 flat at 96mph?! Thats awesome!

I guess I still don't see where people got that it was going to look any different. Look up any of the reviews done last year, look up the video that pickuptruck.com did. It looks exactly like the R/Ts they tested and reviewed. If the R/Ts didn't come out, I was all about getting a rc sport. They do look the same(apart from one badge). I think they look good.
