WD-40 works good but it takes off the wax too if you have waxed it recently.

No I have used it a bunch of times and it hasn't hurt the paint on my 3rd gen. I saw the guys at line-x using it to take over spray off the paint and then wiping the wd-40 off with alcohol. You will never have to buy bug and tar remover again.

That's what I have been doing, but they were probably using something else. The rubbing alcohol works well to get the wd-40 off and most people have both of those around the house so it works out.

My truck just EATS bugs. leave them on for over a day and they stick to the front like glue. Pain in the **** to get off.

I have the same problem, my buddie told me he puts rainx on the front of his truck and they wipe right off. I haven't tried it yet though.

Motorcycle riders will tell you that Pam cooking spray works to help keep the bugs from sticking to the chrome. Don't know if I'm willing to try it on my brand new truck.

Trick is to put a good coat of wax on the front end and then wash it often, the longer they sit on the truck the harder they are to get off.
