They used to say not to use Synthetic until your engine has 6 to 10 thousand miles on it to let the piston rings break in. Whether that was proven wrong or not I don't know.
No I watched their every move. They only touched the drain plug, dipstick and oil filter. Nothing else. I just checked the truck after it has sat for a while and its about 1/2 over the top line of the safe mark (to the bend above safe mark).
Be sure to check the other side of the dipstick. As silly as it sounds, you will see a different oil level depending on which side of the dipstick you look at. At least mine is this way. It's a 1/2" higher on one side than it is the other. This is the first time I have ever had one read like that.
I use the Valvoline 5w-20 full synthetic in mine as well and have had no negative affects after the oil change. I switched mine out at 2200 miles the first time. In fact, I'm going to check into registering for their 75,000 mile guarantee they have been advertising lately.
So long as you do the engine break in as stated in the owner's manual, everything will seat properly.
