Default Dee Zee or Mopar Nerf Bars

I did a search here and found some info on this, but am wondering what you guys think. They look awfully similar but I found the Dee Zee's for $306 and the cheapest I have seen the Mopar (without some dealer hookup) is $455 on ebay. I would prefer the Mopar, but $150 could go towards a cover eventually.

For the guys who have the Dee Zee's how are they treating you?

Thanks for the info.

I have the Mopars, I had them oil sprayed inside also I have heard these nerfs no matter what come from cheap china steel and sell they are not very thick. But it's nice since I have 6 years warranty and they installed em so.

Mine are Dee Zee. Like the Mopar ovals they are chromed aluminum. Mine have been useful and look good too. The Mopar Ovals like mine mount a little closer to the truck and would end up hitting the truck with my foot. The Dee Zee mount just a bit away from the truc as to not touch with my foot.
My opinion Dee Zee are just as good, cheaper too. Lifetime warranty if I am not mistaken.

Thanks for the report. I went ahead an ordered them. I used your truck as a demo of sorts to see what it would look like. I have The Bright Silver SLT. I wanted the chromed aluminum because I like how it looks with the front and rear bumper. I noticed they were a little farther away than the Mopar, but that wouldn't cause me to pay an extra $150. Thanks again.

No these are not wheel to wheel. To save space on this, just look in my album. I have some more pics there. They do stick out a bit more, not much, keeps a bit more gunk off the truck. I like 'em.

I purchased the deezee 5" ovals and I am really disappointed in the quality. There is a chrome bubble next to one step and several scuffs in the chrome throughout. I know it's a "step" but I was still hoping for better quality.

I am also thinking this was a bad purchase to make over the Internet. I wasn't able to review quality in advance, and now I'll probably be dealing with shipping charges related to returns, replacements, etc.

I'll see how well RealTruck.com treats me.

I wish I knew of a good San Diego truck accessories store.

Ya, I was lucky in that my buddy is the one selling them, and any problems he can deal with. There are non on the set I have. Ya, I was told to watch out for the real good deals on the internet because some people/places buy up the ones not quite 100% and sell at a discount. That's just what I have been told. Not everyone does this though.
