I have the RER nav uconnect. Went to my dealer who quoted me 257.00 for integration kit. I gave him the part no. 82211853 and told him it should cost 87.00 and he said he hadn't seen it before but would look it up. He came back said he found the part number and price but no application info. Also no inventory at any Chrysler warehouse. He did give me 2 dealerships that had the part.

I called the first dealer. He said all I would need would need would be a 47.00 cable. I explained the install posts from this thread and how I got this part number. He took my vin and called mopar support line. He said mopar no longer lists or recommends any iPod integration for my setup.

He then said the 87.00 cable on his shelf would be of no use to him anymore. He originally ordered it for a jeep commander but never could get it to function properly so the customer had them remove it.

Long story not so short, he sold it to me at cost 63.00. Am I likely to be able to use this cable??

If yours is factory installed you should just need a cable and even if it is the mopar version, same thing a cable but a different one. I am not sure of the part numbers but the mopar one is 32 bucks. Good Luck

Your radio has to be built after 2008 for that cable to work
RER 2009 iPOD INTEGRATION

ATTENTION: This cable is to be used for customers who have a 2009 RER MYGIG receiver and wish to control their iPod from the MYGIG screen! This cable will work for the 2009 RER MYGIG series 5064737 Low Speed & 5064739 High Speed. *** There is no known iPod integration kit available for earlier model 4400 HS & 4401 LS RER MYGIG receivers.

That is the issue with the cable in question.

As a related note in the iPod integration cable:

When I picked up my truck 6/4 it came with the older style cable that didn't charge newer iPhones/iPods. My salesman placed an order for the newer cable (part number 82212001) that day. To date it has not arrived. I did just hear from the parts guy that it was on backorder until recently and has finally started shipping from the supplier.

Only certain RER radios work with this new cable..to be safe I would say only 2009 and up. 2008 RER's do not work with this cable.

Anyone have a fix for the cable not charging my ipod? I have tried both my Ipod touch and my wifes Ipod nano, and on both screens it says charging is not supported with this accessory, but the features work fine. In the owners manual, it specifically says it will charge the ipod when plugged in, could it be a faulty cable?

Check the part # on your module. If you have the Uconnect it's probably the right one. By the I was looking at the Mopar accessories sight and found this
http://dodgeparts.mopar.com/dodge/ram-accessories.html
Click on the link and search part #82211878. The Pt# 5064449AF doesn't come up but this should be it's replacement. The installation guide shows it working with all the radios except the RER. Hope this helps.
