now, the 18" is the "middle" choice of the three, right?
did your truck already have the duals from the factory?
is it much louder?

Yes. They offer 14", 18", and 24". Performance is the same on all 3, from what I hear, just the sound level changes.
Yes. Mufflex sells a kit, and all you do is literally swap out the muffler section. The stock muffler has single in, dual out, and the mufflex kit has the exact single in, dual out (the out pipes are just longer to compensate for the shorter muffler). Everything lines up perfectly with no welding.
It is a bit louder, and more growlier than stock. The 14" would be the one to get for the 'wake up the neighbors' sound. The 24" is too close to stock to justify the cost. The 18" is perfectly in the middle (for me at least).
yes. And the drone is much worse on my camera than in real life. Being actually in the cab, the drone was unnoticeable at volume level 16, and actually added a nice bass harmony to Eminem.

Sounds really good. I would love to be able to hear one in person to see what the drone is like.

 

I drive about 80% at highway speeds. I only notice the drone when I am on cruise control and there is a slight load on the engine like going up a hill. As soon as I downshift to 5th or it does it by itself the drone goes away. Other than that I never notice any drone. I will say that it really sounds like sh*t when the MDS kicks in, almost embarrassing Sounds kind of like a Subaru with one of those 6" Coffee can exhaust tips.

 

I drive mostly 90% on the interstate for my daily commute. What you are describing is the problem with aftermarket exhaust systems on the HEMIs with MDS. Once the MDS kicks in the drone can be horrible if the right setup isn't used. Corsa is the only exhaust system I know of that specifically designs their systems to get rid of drone, or at least control it as best as possible. I had a Corsa exhaust on my 06 Charger R/T and absolutely loved it. Sounded downright bada$$ at WOT but cruising it was mellow.

Thanks for your input though. It seems that if people leave the resonators in the drone isn't too bad when using the mufflex systems.

 

Indeed. I forgot to mention that I left the resonators on for this install, as the sound is meaty enough with them in.
