This is what I was told. I would like to think someone can say diffrent as I looked back on by build date and it was monday morning. I hope there was not too many hangovers that day.

If the build was 08-09, and now just getting to dealer?
The rambox I have was build date november 08 and bought in feb 09?
Also check on your truck for locking tail gate, fuel saver light?

 

My truck was built 08/18/08. I bought it March 14,2009. I did not realize it had been around that long until a few days after I bought it. The next time I went to the dealer I asked why they had it so long and he was candid about it and said they got it mid september and beside the national economy I was the first one that liked a yellow truck. I love the color because they took $11,000 of the factory sticker of $38,000.

That's correct.

 

I strayed away from a truck that I found that had been on the lot for almost a year. Probably their test drive rig. I knew mine was not test driven because of the miles on it, and it had not sat there long.

 

Mine is an early build, and had the standard 40 miles from trasnport on it. The low miles was the only reason i bought it as an early build. I wish i would have bought a build with the locking tailgate, but that is an easy fix. Plus none of the new builds they had at the time were the color i wanted.

 

mines built 10/15/08 (IIRC). nowhere near being the first one on the lot or first sold at my dealer. but i am our dealers first employee to buy (not including or GM's demo truck). i know our GM didnt buy cause i was considering black, and we couldnt find the stock #. found out the next day its the demo truck and still up for grabs.
