I have a question when I bought my truck I got 3 years free oil changes for being military and was told it was in a central Dodge system that any Dealership can look up to make sure, does anyone know if this is true. I have a appointment for an oil change tomorrow and forgot to ask the Dealer and they are now closed. Its a different dealer that I bought from.

 

WOW... I'm not going to be any help but we got the same thing for my RAM and the wife's new Jeep and I never knew why..... just thought I was lucky. Thanks man! By the way I got a "coupon" book for it. I would think you could take those anywhere. If you don't have those then you might want to ask.

 

Ok, did you get it b/c military or for some other reason?

 

Also anyone know the average price for an oil change for a 09 Ram I know they take 7 quarts of oil. Just trying to get an idea as I know it will vary depending on area of country.

 

Paid $32 at Fletcher Auto. This was the first O/F done at 1500 miles.

 

Dealer charged me $31 last week.

 

Got free oil changes because of the military promotion, and I received a coupon book.

 

Same here.... must have been since I'm military.

 

I sent Dodge an email and I will call tomorrow, but the dealer I bought from is out of business so hopefully Dodge will send me one, guess I will pay for the 1st one 2800 miles and change oil light just came on.

 

Was this free oil change thing a limited time type of offer or has it been open to all military since the 09 Ram came out? I ask because I did not get one and was not told about it.
