Finding a better Spare

Finding a better Spare
I'm still having trouble finding a decent Spare that I can feel good about when I am up on the trails of SW Colorado.
I'm not talking about serious rockclimbing, but decent 4x4 trails that can be rather far back from the nearest tow-truck.
I have replaced the stock GY HP P275/60R20 "City/Highway Passenger tires with Toyo Open Country A/T LT275/65R20 on the "Plastic Chrome" 20x8 wheels that come with the BigHorn pkg. This gives me great tread in a much tougher tire and an inch taller too. But it puts me in even worse position over the Restricted Use "Toy" P235/85R17 Spare, as it is nearly treadless and soft and now 1.2" shorter. This would provide NO security if I were to blow one of the Toyo's in any situation that requires a few miles of 4x4 to get back to town. I'd likely blow the spare only a few 100 ft down the trail from where I'd replaced the original tire. And if it did last, I'd be torquing the axle pretty bad with the size mismatch.
So far, I've tried:
1) Find 20x8 steel wheel to fit a 5th Toyo - nobody can source one - dealer wants $300+ for something they don't stock and might not get...
2) Find someone unloading wheels from a BigHorn package - haven't found anyone willing to part with "just one", and shipping costs pushing total back over $200+ for the one guy I did find...
3) Find a suitable 17" tire to fit the 17x7 wheel of the existing Spare - not finding anyone that makes or stocks a 34" A/T tire for a 7" rim.
I'd really like to improve my sense of security before I head out on my Summer Vacation.
What am I missing ?? What can you suggest ??

Can't you just find a spare tire 20" rim from the previous gen truck? The spare steel wheels are often found on Ebay or the various forums. Saw a few on the different wheel sites. Said replaces #52110456aa, pricing was in the $80 range but you may do better on a forum or Ebay.

I have the same truck as you and have the fake spare. Mine came with the Wrangler tires. 20". I am going to check the local junk yards for a real rim. I also will check on a exact replacement rim and tire from Dodge. That way if I need to I can put it on and drive until I can get the tire fixed or repaired. It seems like they cannot, will not repair tires anymore. There is always a reason that it can't be fixed. My bad luck I guess.
