Wait..... The 14" is too loud for you but you removed the resonator and allow your exhaust to exit under the truck??????haha

Seriously, oldjeep is right, you need to take care of that. A shop can easily and cheaply bend you a pipe to clear your bed. If you short out the abs system or something electrical under there the dealers going to laugh at you. No way will that be covered under warranty. I don't know how long you are planning to wait but it won't pass your next inspection like that. Also your dumping fumes into your undercarriage that will get into your cab even if you are driving. Might not effect you, but I hope you don't have kids in the truck. That's just a bad deal all around. If nothing else, I would go get some straight pipe from advanced auto and rig it up untill you can fix it right.

no inspection for Oklahoma so he will be fine there! I did this on my old truck when I was in high school, sounds great but you are right the fumes do make their way around the cab if you are sitting still nearly everytime. I would not leave it like this either

Not sure if you have this issue in OK, but here the exhaust condensation will put a lot of water vapor all over the bottom of the truck - gets into wiring and can freeze in the winter.

Any reason for not running a side dump or pipe straight out the back?

And how far back is your muffler outlet? Past the gas tank? - Since you melted the e-brake, I'm assuming it's in front of the axle.
Yes I check all the wires last night those are out of the way. Was kind of shocked to see that plastic melted. I am planning on running a side exit.

It is not loud at all. From the start has nice rumble then gets quiet. The fumes have never found there way inside the cab even before i changed pipe, but yes I do plan on running a side exit pipe.

Hey everyone went out tonight after dinner and took a closer look at area. Don't think abs wire or brake lines or even the shock are in danger of melting, but did put the tailpipe back on tonight. Brake lines and abs wire run along the top of a support bracket and well out of the way of exhaust heat flow. The shock is mounted like Ford's outside the frame rail again not in the path of any exhaust heat flow.
