Default Door Sill Protection

Is there anything made to protect the door sills? I seem to be scratching them when I get out of my truck, no problems gettting in with the Dodge bars, but out is a problem with "short leg syndrome"!

Thanks

I have considered, have yet to do it, 3M clear paint protection. That clear vinyl stuff. My plan is to put it on the rockers and wrap into the jams.

Good idea I have a roll of that, very hard to nick it, I bought it when the little piece came of the bumper but i could not replicate with this stuff too stiff.

I had mine done with the ventureshield (clear 3M type stuff). It works great for protection.

AVS offers Stepshield Door Sill Protectors for a lot of vehicles. Had them on my last Ram. Unfortunately nothing yet for the 09. That's the way I will probably go when they come out.

i think he means the red paint in that picture .. although the stainless door sill guard in your picture IS a good idea .. i plan on getting both those sill protectors AND the clear 3m film before winter comes ..

I put those stainless mopar ones on my truck, and they are now scratched all up, but at least it isn't on the plastic. They are pretty soft metal, but I haven't seen any alternatives that are tougher...

The painted part is what the Stepshield door sill protectors cover. They are made from plastic.
