I meant for the install itself.. The drain tubes I understand, but I was under the impression that to make the G2 fit properly, you must cut part of the drop in liner.. Am I mistaken?

I didnt cut my liner. The rail would go more to the front if I did, but I didnt feel it was necessary.

I wouldnt say it's waterproof. Mine happens to be missing the tailgate seal also, seen on another thread. I am surprised how much water hasnt come in, and believe me it has rained. I emailed the company where I bought the Bakflip and they sent out 2 different tailgate seals, some 3M tape/gasket. But the convenience of not needing the tailgate shut first is pretty handy so I doubt I will put the seal on. Any water that does come in is at the tailgate and it just runs down and out.
