WOW! Tell us how you really feel.

I am not knocking whether anyone likes stock or modified. To each their own. I don't care if they like my debadged, lowered truck sitting on SRT rims or not. I DO and that is all that matters.

And just like WAR HORSE, I like doing it myself. I get a sense of accomplishment every time I look at my truck and save some green at the same time.

I do what makes me happy.........so should you.

Why mess up a good thing. Those black rims and ATV looking tires look like S##T. De badged also looks cheap. IMO.

Only thing I will change is rims and tires AFTER the tires wear out.

I do need an Pod cable. Do I need to go to the dealer or can I outsource it? Thanks.
Man wtf were we thinking. I guess to make my truck look cool and stand out all I needed was miami dolphin plates.

So far the concensus is it made my truck cleaner and made it look newer. Since the crappy door molding and most the badges came off I have been asked several times if it is a 06, or 07, or blah blah. That makes me smile since the newer trucks were outside my desired spending point.

anyway...

if you bought a ram in 2009 and think of it as an investment, i have some GM stock id like to sell you also. Your 35k truck wont be worth 12k in 5 years..so bye bye 25k.. besides trucks are going to loose money over the next decade or so no matter what. with more fuel efficient hybrid trucks that can tow will be here in 10 years and your pretty 09 with be no more desirable than how we view 1999 dodge rams now..

I live in a state of mind of constant and never ending improvement. If i earn $80,000 this year.. i was $85k next year... if i own 2 locations now.. i want 5 in 5 years... if i have 400hp now.. i want 450 by christmas...

no matter what i do.. i try to be better, look better and accomplish more... I'm not going to buy my Laramie and just sit on it... I will add monitors to the headrest so my daughter can watch TV and put subs in it to let other know this ain't my daddies truck.

I also added 24s and my Borla muffler to my truck to let others know this ain't a lease or company truck....

I am already looking at my 24s as being to small... ima get a nice check Sep 1st... and am thinking some 26s would help me stand out just a lil more..

but if you want to dress daily in a blue suit, keep your hair combed slightly to the left and follow in line we understand... not everyone can be a leader... some will enjoy their lives immersed in complacency... it makes it easier for guys like us to stand out in the limelight just a little easier

To each their own. I get so much good feedback on my truck, so it must look pretty good and the most important thing I like it. So **** off

As said before, "to each there own". I happen to like having no truck payments, own two houses (no mortage), enough savings to handle the recession, having no debt, pretty much do what we want and retired five years ago at 53. Even "blue suits" can be a leader. Its just a matter of choice and what you want to do. Again, to each his own.

If things go as they are now for me.. I'm going to open 4 more locations and retire at 30 ands still bring in 6 figures every year just by collecting franchise fees from my government contracts..

but anyway

and people in this thread are right.. to each their own..

but the initial post of this thread was of someones confusion of others desire to subtract or add more to their already fine trucks (kinda funny how someone who wonders that would even be in a forum in the first place).

I was maybe a little harsh with my response... but the thread kind of offended me. I don't settle in my life.. i applaud people like laidneon who take a "perfectly good truck" and chop it up... even if i never do..and wouldn't even want too. i think they are brave and would never question why they would do it...

just like the guys i see walking down the street here in west la.. with the green spikey hair or whatever.. while i look at them and think they are frikin nutz.. i applaud them because they are being themselves.. because i wouldn't have the ***** nor the self esteem to go out like that in public on a daily basis.. but they do..

same with people who tear into their trucks... i might never do it.. but would never question why someone else would
