Bottom line it the Toyota is still faster than the Ram...I would consider it "quick"....but still not fast.

You gotta be careful with which mustangs you are comparing. Yes the early 2000's were slower. The 93/94's could be a 13sec car at the right track with the right driver in the right conditions. This ram still wont ge tinto the 14s and stuggles to stay in the 15s. Even an experieced driver wont see the 15s easily. Since we dont know exactly what mustang it was we really dont know. But Mike did say he ran from about 55-90....which leads me to believe the mustang was in a good power band range. A mustang would easily beat this truck from a dig as long as the driver doesnt break too much traction.

Ive said enough. I am glad Mike had fun. Maybe the kid was racing him...I do not know.
You sure about the Tundra? I smoked one and he jumped the gun from the light, I didn't realized we were racing till he took off, at around 75 I caught him, I went to 90 cuz well even at 75 on the road we were on my license was gone but I felt I did my job. Now call me a liar. But first go consult with your SRT group.

And as far as MY srt-4....it was hella fast but not stock.
No confusion here, truth is on the street when you run one or the track, remember there are variables, some winners some losers, always someone faster, car running better, or a better day. Statistics & tests results are nice but are better left for reading on the john. Don't forget to wipe. Have a great ride for the short time we are here.

I can confirm this, I smoked a Tundra a while back meself. That makes 2 reported Tundra kills here I know of.

True...the driver mod is the best upgrade one can take, especially when they drive like they are taking a humpty dumpty.

Yeah but you have a bad *** hemi RCSB ram. Ive smoked a few 09 hemi rams, but its expected being lighter. Im waiting for that RCSB r/t to come across, but have only seen them in pictures. There's been a few ram kills on the tundra sites so im getting the feeling that we're pretty close in performance and the driver makes all the difference.

Nice one...."But first go consult with your SRT group". If you really want to bash a group of people find an SRT, anyyyy of them, and race it at the track and find out more about your (and my) truck. Maybe you will win a true race....????

As far as the Tundra.....what does "I smoked" a tundra really mean. Was that like a half a truck length...or like a football field? Really...be honest. I do know the TUNDRA is faster 0-60 but thats not a race. The Hemi does have a better top end so it would not surprise me. So when did you realize he was racing...when he rolled down his window and told you? And so he was obviously racing cuz he took off fast????

These are NOT race scenarios to be walking around saying who got waxed. A RACE is staged and an equal shot. Anyway...im done with this thread. The point is that until someone starts posting some videos at a track or other venue then the stories are just that.....

Yes, and that is exactly why I bought a RCSB.

As the real street racers like to say, "a chase is a race."

And no, the point is that the op's original scenario is plausible.

Ditto. Love having a fast truck and not having to dump lots of money into it. Not like I even could if i wanted too though, with our small aftermarket. Im waiting for some legit (not toyota or dodge) video of a ram vs tundra.

Any of you 09 guys in the Los Angeles Area?
