Yeah, no bedliner here (Line-Xed last week) and mine is a mid March build. Guess next time it acts up I'm headed back to the dealer with a copy of this thread. Maybe if they can see that others are having the same issue they'll take it a little more seriously.

As far as service writers go, I'd like to think that anyone not qualified to make a diagnosis would say so, and then go get someone who is.

I think it's the 4 link suspension loading and unloading. I've noticed when it does it after a stop it feels like the back of the truck drops slightly.

You think the 4 link? Then I think there would be a recall of sorts. Mine still does it every now and again..

I have the same thing happen in mine too. I think it has something to do with the hill start assist, esp etc. I can push and let off on the brake pedal and recreate it somewhat. I'm pretty sure it isn't a rear end problem or anything like that, I think it is the rear brakes being applied and released similar to the hill start assist. This also would be why one would think its the rear suspension loading or unloading, if the rear brakes were applied only the rear end would squat when applied then when released it would go back up. I think they need some updated calibration for the esp or hill start/traction control etc.

I agree with you RBRK I to think it has to do with the brake/esp system. I notice mine doing it when the roads are wet. Maybe these trucks are to smart??

I also would add that since I had all my control units updated, including the abs I don't think it is doing it as much, but it still does it occasionally.

mine also does this, i'm not sure how often as i sometimes wonder if i just wasn't paying close enough attention. my truck's just about due for it's next free oil change, so i'll have them look at it then, along with finally getting answers to the back end sitting uneven and now the black material between the front/rear side windows. i thought it was painted- turns out it's just a sticker, and now it's bubbling/peeling on the driver's side front door, right next to the window. what next?!

New Update:

I took my truck in for an oil change and other warranty related issues (bluetooth, keyless remote, torn seat cover, non-functional outside temperature reading, etc.), and I asked them if they ever got any response by Chrysler on this issue.

They told me that Chrysler says that the noise is normal. WTF???

Well, what is the cause of this noise? Why does it make this noise?

To me it looks like Chrysler doesn't know what the noise is and they're just giving me the corporate "go-away" response. Nice to see a company that keeps it's customers happy. (I'm being sarcastic).

Reading this thread I got to "thinking". Iknow, I know...bad idea.

Any chance the noise could be the lock and cable on the spare tire?

What? You didn't get one with your truck?

Maybe I got that instead of the Trailer Brake pigtail in the glovebox. (Which I need more than the spare tire cable/lock)
