I have a Black Sport with the slate grey interior and I would like to add just a bit more bling inside the cab. Looking at the laramie cab I see chrome bezels around the a/c vents and was
thinking can I get these for my trucks ?

 

sure, heck you could probably talk to a Laramie owners on here there are probably a few that would trade you.

There are some who don't want the chrome!

 

You can have the chrome bezel around the console shifter. It looks nice when the sun isn't reflecting off it in to your eyes.

 

I don't understand why everyone dislikes the chrome bezel around the shifter ?

 

Have you ever looked at the sun while driving?

 

I usually don't look at the sun while I'm driving, I look at the road and keep the sun in my periphery. The same way I don't look at the chrome ring while I drive, I look at the road and the chrome stays in the bottom corner of my eye.
I even have a sunroof and don't find the ring annoying in the least bit.

If you all are staring straight at the chrome ring then I can understand why you don't like it.

 

For me the ring reflects sunlight into my eyes and it's worse if I have sun glasses on (reflects off the inside of them). My wife drove my truck a few times and complained of the reflection from it also. I think it may bother some, more than others if you are in your truck more often. I drive 100-200 miles a day so for me it happens more often. I plan to pull mine out and have it painted black.

 

I don't know how anyone can tolerate that reflection, it sucks...very poor design. I had heard there was pending litagation regarding that ring and safety issues. there may be a voluntary recall...we shall see.

 

I guess its a problem since so many complain about. Maybe I'm just focused on the other problems like crappy seats and shaky steering wheel.

 

If your looking to add chrome these guys have a kit for the interior. I actually am waiting for some sample carbon fiber pieces from them. They have all colors including chrome.
