Hey any of you guys put in the allgig with factory back-up camera? Suzanne at allgig said I would need to rewire the camera to work with the module. Anyone tell me what that requires?

Thanks
Rob

Works great! Had it for six months. It does work with the factory camera when you put the truck in reverse. If you wanted it on while you were driving then you would have to wire the factory camera to a constant 12 volt, or at least one the has power when in drive.

I installed it, plug n play, works great.

Do they send the cable with it? My truck came with the camera, so the allgig won't allow camera any time unless it is rewired correct? And all it takes is to wire a 12v to camera and Allgig takes care of the rest?

The allgig is a plug n play module that allows the camera to work when the truck is put into reverse. No modifications of any kind is needed.

You unplug the harness from the radio and insert the allgig.

Allows every factory function plus DVD while driving and navigation address input while driving.

I'll have to e-mail suzanne back, she said with factory camera I needed to re-wire it so it would work. I figured all I had to do is unplug from the radio and plug into Allgig. Correct? I thought you could turn on the camera at anytime, with allgig, including going down the road, like to see your trailer and hitch and stuff..

Drober30 and Brummo:
Can you tell me what Allgig is?
Is it software?
Is there a module (part) that has to be installed?
Will I need to remove the radio or the dash to wire something in?
Cost?
Can you install it yourself?

I have the Mygig with NAV, DVD, and 30 Gb hard drive - everything except the back-up camera.
I'm bothered by not being able to enter the address while moving in the NAV and also not seeing the DVD screen when my kids want me to set up a movie while driving.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the thread hijack.

It's a module you put behind the radio and wire up with the harness. From what I was quoted, $285 is the price. Yes, you will have to remove the radio to do it, but am told it is pretty easy to do. Haven't done it yet myself, waiting to get some more answers from some users. Hope that helps.

I'd be nice to see behind when hauling the boat at times. Or, just a neat little feature to have. Reading the plate of the person tailgating.
