Install factory fog light kit
You don't have to order the whole kit again. Just call Steve White Dodge at the number listed above. Ask for Robert. Tell him you installed the factory fog light kit for the 2009 and up Ram. You broke a light and need a replacement one and you understand that they sell single lights. It couldn't get any easier than this. I think it was $45 for the replacement lights and $7 for shipping to me (your shipping might be higher depending on where you live). I will try to find the p/n tomorrow. And go to amazon and buy the light covers listed above, they will save your lights from small rock damage.
I wanted to add that I also order the clear covers by Hella that an earlier post suggested. Hopefully they will prevent another rock break.
Thanks again.

How does the light switch come out? Do I have to pull the dash apart? Or can I pop it out from the front? I don't want to break anything. And I've seen some posts that say there's a plug near the bumper others say the plug is up by the radiator and still others saying there is no plug.... If anyone has a pic of the plug location I'd really appreciate it!! Sometimes I'm blindest to the obvious...
I was able to just reach up and behind the switch without prying anything, and popped it out without any tools. Replacing the switch was the easiest part of the install. The "filler piece" is in the center of the bumper on mine ( 2010 1500 ). Since I also installed tow hooks, I just tossed it. Look at post number 19.

The wiring harness that comes with the kit needs to have wires installed in a connector or two on the TIPM in the engine compartment, this is where the fuses and relays are. The TIPM needs to be lifted up, the appropriate connectors undone, the correct wires installed in the correct location, then the connectors reconnected to the TIPM, and the TIPM reinstalled. The directions that tome with the kit are few on words, but good on pics showing you where things need to be connected. Take you time and orient the connectors like the pic, that way you install them correctly. This harness also includes the connectors for the fog lights. They will be run along the radiator support and down to the fog light locations. I think it shows the general idea in the directions. The fog lights have short pigtails that will plug into the harness connectors.
The biggest hurdle I found to the install was the mounting brackets. The kit is designed for 2009 and up trucks. I have a 2010 2500. The mounting brackets did not mount as shown in the directions. There are numerous tabs with holes on the backside of the bumper that can be used for mounting locations. The brackets that come with the kit will force part of the light to be blocked off by the front license plate if you have one. The easiest way around all of this is to get a piece of flat steel, bend it into an "L", drill 2 holes in it, one for the light bracket, and one for mounting. I was able to find 2 tabs and holes in the back of the bumper that were perfect for mounting the new brackets I made. They also allowed the fog lights to sit just outside of the license plate and not be blocked by it. Since I used just an "L" bracket, it was easy for me to put the plate on and do the final adjustment on the lights so they would clear the plate. It's alot easier than it sounds.
After you have the lights installed, you will need to go to the dealer and have them programmed into the computer, or they will not work. This is all covered in the directions. They actually have to add the code so that the computer thinks the truck was "built" with the lights and will allow them to turn on. I know it sounds crazy, but that's how it is.
The whole install is not difficult, just take your time.
You should definitely get the light covers mentioned in a previous post, these lights seem to get broken easily by rocks. The covers will save you alot of hassle. I put them on mine and they works great.
Where do I get them?
