Update on Diablo Tune
#141
hi everyone. I'm new to this forum and have been watching this thread with interest.
I was really impressed with the dyno graphs and was wondering if anyone knows if the tuner will work on the 2010 ram? Any info is appreciated.
I don't have my Laramie yet but it was scheduled to be built this week. I'm really looking forward to it.

So the question is.... When are they expecting a release date? I would really like to get my hands on one of these. The digital touchscreen by far looks better than any programmer I have seen. It looks like my damm logitec tv remote. Oh also, is the Trinity only plummed into the obdII port? or is there also under the hood install required? My buddy has an 06 diesel and needed to install a box under the hood. This may not be required due to the computer all ready reading all of the parameters of the engine on the display as the 06 does not. THANKS Wes

the trinity goes straight to into the obdII port. I had it on my truck for testing and it is sweet but over the top in my book. The 1/4 mile run is sweet. Has a tree and all. But it having to be plugged in and mounting is why I think its kind of a waste of money . Unless you take the dash apart and make it look pretty but then no Dealer

Just wondering if any of you guys with the tuner are seeing an improvement in mpg's. I'm not too concerned with increased performance but if I could improve performance and see an increase in mpg I might just bite on this.
Has anyone had enough time to check this out ? Of course this would depend if this would work on 2010 models.

I am seeing ~1.5 - 2 mpg on the hwy with the cruise set on 70 as reported by the EVIC.
The EVIC has been said to be less than reliable as far as mpg goes. I have not been able to keep my foot out of it long enough to do a hand calculation. Monday I will be making a 150 mile round trip that will be mostly hwy. I will fill up on departure, and upon returning and report back. Like I said before, I would bet that the only thing Diablo will need to do to support the 2010's is to get one in there and get the base calibration. I think they had issues with the PCM's on 03's and maybe 04's, but, IIRC, once Chrysler switched the PCM's up they knocked the 05's-08's out pretty quick. They switched stuff up again in 09, and that drug out a bit, but, from what I've seen/read, there aren't going to be any major changes from the 09's to the 10's.
