So MPG update.

Took a trip this weekend from my house to Key West for a little drinking weekend (I feel for you guys in the cold!!!!!).

Round trip was 352 miles. crusing speed ranged from 35 to 90. I had the 93 octane tune and based on EVIC (reset before I left) I was at 19.8MPG.

Last time I took a similar trip witout the tune I was at 18.6mpg.

I know its not perfectly calculated but I cannot complain!! POWER and ECONOMY!!!!!

I am seeing a 1mpg increase after the tune as well. I have only tired the 87 tune. I am taking a long trip this weekend towing a trailer and 5 quads so I will let you know how the mpgs look next week.

I love all of the new power this thing has after the tune.

Thanks guys for reporting back on the mpg's. Looks like so far it is all positive news. Now I just have to wait until they have a chance to get a 2010 in to see what changes have to be made.
I called down to Diablo just on the chance that the 2009 tune would work-but no luck with that.

Loving all the positive feedback about the Diablo for our trucks. However, I still have one concern in regards to the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. When you return the tune back to stock, can a dealership tell if the pcm has been altered by an aftermarket tuner? I remember someone stating the pcm retains memory if an aftermarket tune has been applied, even after returning to stock.

I know we have plenty of dealership techs onboard and I would love any input that you all, or anyone, has in regards this concern. Thanks.

Thats the exact reason I don't have nor will have one. I wish the truck didn't have the warranty so I wouldn't feel so guilty about having one.

I'm sure they will find another way to void any service I get 100k down the road but until then I hope keeping the truck stock will pay off one day.

Default Describe the power

Can you describe the power increase? What I am wondering is if it is very noticeable under normal driving conditions or more so at WOT. I have the 3.92's and most of my driving and accellarating would be in between 1500 and 2200-2500 rpms. So how does it feel when you are not really standing on it?

Thanks

The driveability is much better. It feels like there is more torque all the way through, and it takes less foot to get up to speed.

Mike from Diablo emailed me last week and said,"Yes, no footprints." when I sent the email "I should be receiving my Trinity Friday. I will be more than willing to help out come Monday. I know in the past customers have claimed no footprint, is this still the case?"
I also spoke to a mechanic that told me to be safe always take the tune off 2-3 days in advance so that it can go through 2-3 drive cycles to reset anything. He said as long as you do this you will have no issues.

Everbody is having too much fun lol. I had to postpone my trip yesterday. I'll be leaving in about twenty minutes. I'll post some up tonight.
