Default Rear Locker? Best Bang for Buck?

Ok, so I've decided to upgrade to a rear locker. I've had no problem pulling the boat up the boat ramp after upgrading to wider tires until the lake level fell so low that I had to switch to a new ramp... and this new ramp is practically a 45 degree incline and when it's wet I've had a 50/50 chance of making it up without getting stuck half way up with a cloud of smoke coming from one tire. So, I figured a locker should help enough to get me up...

With that said, I'd like to spend as little as possible. What are my best options?

Well you could go with the Detroit Locker, but I'd hesitate to put it in a daily driver, ratcheting around turns all the time would prove to be a PIA!!!

A good solution would be an Air Locker, like the ARB. Although I don't know for sure if they make it for the Chrysler 9.25 rears. They are user selectable, and you just turn 'em on when you need them. Kinda hard on the wallet though.

I think you'd be fine with just a LSD, either the TruTrac or the Auburn Gear unit would be fine for your needs...

I'd take it to the dealer to see why the traction control isn't working.

I hadn't really thought about that... traction control should have kicked on, preventing the large cloud of white smoke and melted tire on the side of the bed......

I still think I would have gotten stuck though.

How much would a pair of air or electronic lockers run me?

I didn't see anything for the 9.25s at 4wheels parts. My only options were the following 2 Limited Slips:

Auburn:

Tru Trac:

Geez, what kind of ramps and water do you have in Texas? I'd ask for new ramps to be put in with some nice grooves. Gotta love the nice ramps in Delaware.

This ramps is cut into a 40' limestone cliff. It's like a 45 degree incline. It's a private neighborhood ramp - one of the last that's still open since the lake is now 50' below full. We're at historical lows. The normal ramps, which dried up some 10 - 12' feet ago were fine and I had no problems with those.

There are plenty of lockers for the 9.25. Detroit locker and Powertrax Lock-right and No-slip.
My personal preference is an automatic locker, since I hate open diffs all the time it's not very practical to flip a switch every time I want to lay into it, so my truck will be getting a Detroit.. My B2, which was my daily driver for a long time has a locker, I drove it 1000 miles a month and it's just fine. People that say bad things about the road manners of a locker have never driven one.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about Detroit lockers for a daily driver. I have to make a half circle turn each morning when I pull out of the driveway onto the cul de sac at full turn, and with that type of turn I'd have wheel hop each morning.
