2010 Sport package finally ordered
So, after a much anticipated wait, I got a call from the owner of the local dodge dealer letting me know that the sport package was finally available for order this past week in a 2010.
What caught me by surprise was that he said that after putting in my exact specifications the MSRP was actually lower for the 2010 than it was for the 2009 that we spec'd out. He said that the main difference he saw was that the actual sport package only cost $350 for the 2010 and I think it was showing like $750 for the 2009.
Anyone out there know why this would be the case? Did dodge change something to cut costs on the 2010? I hate to say it, but I am very skeptical when someone lowers their price for seemingly the same product for the upcoming year.

Umm, the Sport package was $4755 for 09. The Sport Premium Group was $750 though. That is the 9 speaker system, dual climate controls, and park assist but not the Sport package itself. I'd double check what they are ordering.
Did you opt for the Challenger style hood? Should be in the Performance Appearance Group.

Man, all those details, and you didn't even tell us what color you ordered.
I'm with Topgun, I'd head on down there and take a look at what they ordered. I know some of the optional stuff was becoming standard for 2010, but hadn't really heard of an MSRP drops.

I am thinking the same thing, sport in Canada was almost 5 g's more but the sport something else was 800, gave you 9 speakers, amps, climate control for both sides and the parkview. I wonder what they took out, things that make you go hmmmm
My mistake, it was the Sport Premium option that dropped. As far as the color, I was between black and the Mineral Gray Metallic... but in the end, I ended up choosing the Mineral Gray. I live in the Pittsburgh area and the truck is going to be outside most of it's life, so maintenance wise, I think it is the best choice.
I did not order the challenger hood, as honestly, I didn't even know it was an option. Does anyone know how much the hood costs? Any other 2010 options out there that are new? Part of the problem is that dodge has not updated it's webpage, so when you build your own on the site, you are doing it on 2009 specs.

Wait ??? You can actually order the Challenger style hood as an option on the 2010's ???
