Default Low idle.

Any one else have a intermittent low idle.500 rpm? At times when it drops off to that and stopping almost causes a bump stop. When its idling this low you can barely touch throttle pedal and it will then stay at 650 or so in drive. Is there another latest/greatest flash out in the last few weeks?

Scaring me...not looking forward to putting kms on this or are a lot of the complaints just normal crap that happens.

mine has been doing this from the day I bought it and have 12k on it now. Build date of 12/08. Last time I was in for oil change, there was no reflash for my vin. Mostly idle is at 600 but at times it has dropped to 500.

I just noticed mine doing it after I installed my mufflex 18 muffler. As long as it doesn't die i'm not going to worry too much since I should be able to increase the idle with the diablo programmer when they release it.

It's normal. Idles at 500rpm when the air is not on or when there is no steering input. So when you come to a stop on a straight road it will drop to 500.... unless you turn on the air or turn the steering wheel. It will then stay at ~600rpm. Done for fuel economy.

its not like it is a rough low idle...mine is still smooth as can be when I notice it down around 500 rpms.

Do you have fact/specs to say its done for fuel mpg or just guessing thats the case? It can be at 500 rpm and you can faintly touch fuel pedal and it will go to 650 and stay there with no ac or steering wheel movement. It FEELS too low at 500.
