How much Gas can you get into a 32 Gal Gas Tank ??
When ordering my SLT, I paid specifically for the larger 32 Gal Tank (and it's listed on my Window Sticker and the Star System inventory for my VIN). But the most I've been able to pump, after EVIC has me totally "on fumes", has been less than 28.25 Gal. (That's more than the std 26 Gal tank, so I know I have the Extended Range Tank...)
Has anyone noticed the same ?? Has anyone been able to pump 31-32 Gallons ??
Is the rest a usable Reserve which the EVIC is programmed to ignore ??
(The 09 Ram is simply too heavy a beast to test to the limit - even the Crew Cab doesn't seat enough friends to push an empty Out-of-Gas truck to a gas station. So I'm not going to empirically test it...)

Can't help you. I rarely let the tank get below 3/4. You could get a 5 gal gas can and take it with you in the bed of the truck. Run yours out of gas, put in the 5gals, and fill up at a gas station. You would have to figure in the 5gal minus gas used to get to the station. Then you would know.
Can you try siphoning the fuel out once the EVIC states "LOW FUEL" Use a 5 gallon can then dump it right back into the tank.
It seems useless to have a bigger tank with that much of a reserve. I go until the light is on and ad 23 gallons every time, though I have the standard tank.

Yeah I'm pretty sure its 32 gal its just that the stupid light comes on too early. I ran it over 20 miles after the "low fuel" came on and got 29.9 gallons in. Next time I'm going for thirty miles pass the low fuel warning.
I've always gotten a thrill out of getting the tank as low as possible. My record was with a 08 2500 6.7 cummins, it had a 34 gallon tank and I got 33.5 in. Although it made me sick to pay over $120 for a tank of fuel when diesel was over 4 bucks a gal

I've seen this discussed before, the concentrates was that EVIC is VERY conservative, reading 0 miles left is the equivalent of the real low gas light, in which you have about 50 miles left to find a station. Most vehicles have a fuel reserve, so you'll always have a couple gal left in the tank at fill up. If you pump 31.5-32g of fuel into your tank, you did something wrong (or the pump is cheating you).
I see 26-28g depending on when I fuel up after the 50mi warning light comes on.

I agree with a few others here. I have run mine for 10-15 miles after the LOW FUEL warning comes on, which is technically 0 miles, and still can't get 30 gallons in the tank. Conversely, I could run my 02 Chevy down to just where it touched the orange on the needle (again the low fuel light might have been on for 10-15 miles and could get a little over 26 gallons in the tank even though it had a 26 gallon tank. Maybe I was really about out of fuel on the Chevy!
