Ok time to chime in with a question....does anyone here have a good buddy at a dealership that they can go to and hook their truck up to a starscan and see if you can set the esp button to fully turn off the esp when you are not in 4wd. I know you can do a lot with a starscan tool but I would like to know if that is something that could be changed. I want to be able to turn mine fully off in 2wd but so far all i have found that will work is to unplug a wheel sensor which i dont want to do. And the other is the no esp mod for the chargers and challengers but that disables your abs system as well and that is not acceptable.

Yeah, that would be sweet if the dealer could do a simple flash to turn off traction control, but I kinda doubt they would even if they knew how. I like sarguy01's idea of trying to trick the computer to think its in 4wd, it would be kind of like the locker bypass switch that many of the Power Wagon guys are using. Another idea would be to put a switch on one of the speed sensors, that way you don't have to physically unplug it when you want to remove traction control.

It looks like they may have a different setup. What we really need is a Dodge tech to chime in here. It seems like a bunch of different vehicles have their own little "tricks".
I'm no dodge tech , but I think I found out how to put the ram into service mode. Hold the trip button in, while turning the key to the on position. All the lights on the dash will light up and new service codes will apear in the evic display. It will time out ,after about 20 sec.I haven't been able to find out which buttons control the settings.
