I don't think you pissed anyone off, not me anyway. Just needed more clarification. Interpreting prices paid as what you actually paid leaving out key variables such as trade/cash would be meaningless to everyone.

First and formost, I didnt realize that this thread was a purchasing tool for others interested in buying Gen IV Rams so I didnt go into the meat and potatos of the deal.

IF I had known, I would laid it all out there in the beginning. The title simply states "what are people paying" I signed a document with the number $21,009.07 on it. Established ground rules make it easier to get a desired result, hell i would have given you my credit score if you would have asked for it...that is the biggest factor in purchasing a new vehicle anyway.

I honestly thought this thread was for entertainment purposes and fun. It is the internet after all and 60% of the crap on it is BS anyway.

Sorry if I upset or offended anyone. I was hoping to get my post count to 150 before I started p!ssing people off.
No one pissed off here. I certainly think the entertainment plays a role in the forum, but the information is important to many also. It's important to me not to misinform a potential buyer who will be laughed out of the dealership when he/she states what others have supposedly gotten a similar vehicle for. On a side note, it's also worth considering that by telling people you bought at 40K truck for 15K (not you, just hypothetically) you are contributing to the perception that your own vehicle is not worth much and might cumatively (spelling?) accelerate the deprecation of the very vehicle you own!

Sticker price (Canadian) was just shy of $44 000 (SLT with some extra options). Between Rebate and negotiation, Agreed price was $33 000. Financed amount is far less because of Trade in and down payment, but that's kind of irrelevant.

$33 000 CAD = 30 690 USD (Sept 30 2009 rates)

Also, vehicles in general cost about 10% more in Canada than the US even after you account for the exchange rate on the dollar, so I would estimate the US equivelent of this deal being around $27 600 if I were both living in the US and paid in US Dollars. That's not an exact science, but sounds reasonable compared to what others have posted here.

2009 Dodge Ram 5.7L HEMI "Lone Star" Edition Quad Cab

Sticker: $36,400
Rebates: $5,500
-Owner Loyalty: $1,000
-Military: $500
-Finance Through Dealer: $500
-Manafacturer to Dealer: $3,500

Negotiated: $24,000
Down Payment: $4,000
Tax, Title, etc: $1,700~

No trade in. They wanted to give me $500 for my '99 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport. With only 107k miles, sold to my neighbor for $3,500. I'm happy with the deal I got. Was a pain finding a Quad Cab though with the Lone Star package. Was not happy with how many dealers lied about having them on the lot, but that's just a side note.
