I think that is why in Ontario we do not have to pay the 1000 gas guzzler tax on the truck with the Hemi but we do the car do they not have MDS? I guess you can explain the need for 390HP and all that torque in a truck but why in a car. Hey the US has the fattest people they say so throw 4 300 pounders in a Challenger and what kinda mileage you getting.LOL Wonder if it will squat like a bitch. Like paying for the extra seat at an airport.

GM trucks are lighter than dodge trucks, so MDS in a heavy truck is really useless, GM also has cylinder deactivation. A lighter truck is allways going to get better milage...

In Canada, GM commericals are picking on the tundra, you see bits and bites of a tundra in various fragments, I drive GM trucks at work and aside from 0 ground clearance, issues with the rear main seal leaking, I like GM trucks.

To be fair, you have to have identical gear ratios, = lbs to talk abought H/p and mpg.

I know it's an old thread, but the GMs have to be spun more rpm then the hemi to make their hp numbers, and torque is a way more important rating then hp. People saying things like the "4.7 Dodge is almost as much power as the Ford 5.4" yeah, but less torque. and not as low a rpm, for example. The 4.8 Chevy must be spun what 4800 rpm to gets its torque? The wrong bore and stroke combo.
I think our Kia makes more HP than a 5.4L Triton........
