Default Diablo owners... Gas mileage?

To all of you with Diablosports, did you get an increase or decrease in gas mileage?

I have been tracking my mileage very carefully since i did this. Around town my mileage has hit rock bottom because I love the new shift points and I think I have developed an issue with my foot that it presses down on the gas a lot more without me realizing it. Maybe i will need to see a Doctor about this?

Seriously, I drove back from a conference the other day and I had 19.7 on both the comp and hand calculated. The prior time I made this 3 1/12 trip I made 18.6. I took these calcs the same direction and actually it was raining the 2nd time when I made 19.7. Both times the cruise was set at 75. (87 tune)
I have also used my truck to pull my 28 foot travel trailer. 9.1 without and 10.6 with.
If you are responsible and drive it the same way without the tunes that you do with you will see an improvement but around town I definitely have issues keeping my foot off the gas.
(These reading also include me putting in an AFE drop in and Mufflex 24 kit.)

I was going to say in my first post, I bet it is hard to determine an increase/decrease in the city since the right foot is probably going to be involved more.

Thanks for the info. So 1 mpg on the highway? I have been trying for better gas mileage but 1 mpg is not enough to warrant a 300$+ programmer. I was hoping for more after reading Diablo forums.

Don't get me wrong though, 1 mpg using a performance tuner is good.

My last three fill ups... I was testing.

15.8 hand, over 16 EVIC. K&N, Mufflex only items that would affect MPG.

15.2 hand, 16 EVIC. I removed the K&N for this tank

15.9 hand, over 16 EVIC. I put the K&N back in and had the 93 tune.

Driving 70/30 city/hwy. Of course on tank 3 there was a few more WOT to test out the programmer, I would guess closer to 16/16.1 if it was the same kind of driving as tank 1 and 2. Temps about the same, lows 35-50 and highs 50-65. THe highway driving was 75MPH, not the best speed for MPG.

Glad to see it's around my mileage. So the improvement from the Diablo tuner is more so on shifting and power maybe not mileage?

So, two people have checked? I guess most who have the Diablo don't care about testing mpg.

I bought mine for the power and shift improvements, but the mpg increase was just a bonus. I drove mine 650 highway miles with the 87 tune and my mpg's went up 1 point to 19.5 and thats with a 3.92 gear in the back. I am very pleased
