Yes, I have one too and the only water I get in the bed comes in from the tailgate. I could solve that with a tailgate seal, but right now it is not enough to matter to me, and I live in Olympia, Wa were we get lots of rain.

anyone have any links for the best price on the Bakflip G2? I (hopefully) will be getting a 2010 Ram Sport, quad cab with the 6'4" bed. I'm still hesitating, but if I can get one for less than $600, then I think it will be worth taking the risk and going down the G2 road.

I was looking for a better option without breaking the bank, but I gave in. There is a seller on ebay who is selling it for $698 buy it now, but if you make him an offer of $575 they will take it. Thats what I did. Free shipping also.

I bought my Bakflip G2 through EBay for $575. Just got it on Friday 11/6, and just as an FYI the G2 now has the aluminum skin and not the plastic. It’s as if they replaced the G2 with the HD and turned the original G2 into a new product called the F1. I like the look and fit of the cover but after reading some of the other post, I am concerned about its durability. Still trying to decide whether to keep the cover or return it, being as it is not as advertised.

Except that they are still selling the HD for more than the G2, and the F1 is supposed to be even more expensive than the HD.

I'd return it personally, the HD is a downgrade compared to the plastic due to how easily the aluminum dents. As for the F1 - who knows. Since it's a new product, who is to say if it's strong or not.

Its hard to tell by the videos and photos, with the cover folded all the way up and locked, does it rest against the cab?

yes and no

There is a rod that has a ball on the end that you can slide into place to stop the plates from touching the truck. If you dont place the rod, yes it touches the cab. The rods are on each side of the truck, and are easily accessable and easily placed into the upright position to keep the plates open.
