Thinking about selling my truck.
Yes but Chrysler was an American company at the time. Nissan, Toyota, & Honda, no matter where they are built, are not American companies. The revenue generated is sent back to Japan to help fuel their economy. I have no issue buying products from other countries but I also like to help stimulate our down economy as much as possible especially with big ticket items.
You have no idea what I think. I understand when you buy a part from a foreign source that said foreign source makes the profit I am not as stupid as you may think. I also agree with Ranjr...he hits the nail on the button even if your throw away car was built in the US or Canada or Timbuktu the profit goes to japan or china or wherever. I am sure if you actually looked a bit you could have found a focus or something that is just as good as your Nissan. You only looked for a day. You post I think I am gonna sell my truck then the next day you have a NIssan. At least try to support your country.

blah blah blah...
GM, Dodge, Ford never gave me a job...
they never gave me a good deal on a car because i am an american.
I dont have unbreakable loyalties to any king, president or car maker. If someone/a company does something i don't approve of i reserve the right not to support them.
I do not follow any company or person blindly.
If a company puts out a good product at a reasonable price i will buy it. Most cars today, even with a companies name that isnt intrinsic with America, still produces jobs here and orders parts from companies who create jobs here.
hose makers get jobs, leather makers, glass cutter, diesel turbos, trannys, bulbs... all of these parts in some way are connected with american jobs. Even the truck driver who has to get the vehicles to the dealer owes his livelihood to these name plates. So even if you buy a nissan you are still supporting american jobs.
whoever matches my needs, with a product i desire and who offers it at a great price will get my business.
because if tomorrow.. nissan says the next gen titan will have a diesel, a 7 speed, have over 600 ft of torque, get over 30+ mpg and will price a crew cab under $45,000.... id trade this loaded up laramie ram in with a smile...
like chevy says... "may the best car/truck win"

Renault owns 44 percent of Nissan which is a controlling interest. Additionally If what you own makes you happy then who cares who makes it. I have a Dodge and a Nissan in the garage and I like them both for what they offer.
He is in the military, not sure that you can put a price tag on his life
Actually, Chrysler is an AMERICAN Company with 20% Italian ownership, 25% US / Canada Govt ownership, and 55% American UAW Pension Fund ownership. And I've been told I'll shortly get the Tax Bill for the first Installment Payment towards "my" 25%.
Just because Obama and the Dems are drooling to see Dodge Trucks and Chrysler Minivans replaced by Fiat Econo-boxes doesn't mean that Chrysler isn't American Owned (majority).

I have the same screen name, but am not going to be nearly as active.
All of the threads have to do with wheels fitting and what intakes should people get. There was nothing exciting over there.
