problems with stereo
i reciently bought a new 2009 ram sport, it has a media player with a built in dvd player that stops playing the movie as soon as it is shifted into drive, while i realize why this stereo is set up this way, i was wondering if there is a way to override this safety feature?

There are entire threads dedicated to problems with audio dropouts associated with the LockPick. I was one of the unsatisfied LockPick owners. The AllGig techies (alternative to LockPick) root caused the issue to a CAN bus communication issue with the Ram. Apparently the network speed of the unit needed to be set to 3 significant digits in order to communicate on the bus with no interference. The LockPick is hardwired while the AllGig is programmable. The latest software for the AllGig addresses this issue whereas with the LockPick you have to put up with it. The audio would just cut out for 3-6 seconds at a time every few hours. At first I thought it was the sat. radio losing its signal since that's what I listened to mostly, but then I noticed it happened on AM/FM/HDD too. I'm much happier with the AllGig. Customer service is night and day between the two companies too.

I had the lockpick and it worked perfectly, it allowed me to play dvd while in motion, input navigation destinations while in motion, and turn on the back-up camera while in drive. and also add an ipod, because my previous mygig didnt have the interface.
Theres alot of neat functions that come with it, but personally I think it is quite overpriced. Im not getting it again for the new truck.
