Thanks for all the input on this gentlemen. I am planning on talking to a shop in a few days about install and was wondering what would be recommended to outfit the stock radio to the amp. States that the MTX has all wiring necessary but there must be a kit that I am going to need to install into the factory headunit??? I would possibly want to know this info before heading to the shop. Oh and if anyone could share some info on how to remove the stock headunit and install the remote and rca wires... I would probably just do this install myself. I have done many systems with aftermarket headunits but never a factory headunit. I would hate to F it up. Thanks for all the input.

Isn't there a Kicker amp...plug and play for our trucks, it goes up under the drivers side kick panel. Like 500 bucksor something.

i think i remember hearing someting about a kicker amp for these truck... but for $500 you could get a lot better kicker amp than what stock would put out..

for instance..

check this for $300

or you can get an alpine.. that is a lot smaller.. just a tad less power and a lot better in the specs for about $400

i am thinking about the alpine.. the clean specs, small foot print and class d amp is a great combo
