Default 'Nother stupid question...Sport, SLT package difference?

Ok I was just cruising through the gallery section. First I would like the say there are many fine looking trucks in there. Congrats to you guys/Gals.
But I own an SLT. It has the body colored front and rear fascias. Not chrome. In the Gallery all the body colored bumpers were sports, or SLT Sports. I looked at my paperwork and it makes no mention of it having or being a Sport package. Are there SLTs that have the body colored bumpers but not a Sport? See what I am getting at? Or better yet what determines if it is a Sport or not? pardon me again for being dumb. Oh and I got this truck off the lot and it was ordered and being driven by the owner of the dealership. It had 2,000 miles on it when I got it. It does have the preferred package which include the towing package and anti spin rear.

Here is a pic. Looks like a sport but I have nothing to say it is one.

Maybe it's a typo, but that's a Sport. It's got the front and rear bumpers, Laramie honey comb grille, body colored mirrors, and body color door handles. As a Sport, it should also have the bucket seats up front with huge console. Oh, and it's got the Sport chrome clads, which were only available on the SLT with the Lone Star or Big Horn packages.

For the 4th Gens, the Sport is completely separate from the SLT. In the 3rd Gen the Sport package was an add-on to the SLT model.

Assuming you bought it new it is a sport.

Color bumper not an option on SLT
Chrome clads not an option on SLT
All Chrome grill not an option on SLT
Interior, well we can not see it

It will not show in the description, as a matter of fact the sticker will say RAM 1500 SLT (that is what it starts out as). Even my sticker for my SRT says SLT. It will show under options as a package. "Customer preferred package 25L or 26 something".

Thanks. In the back of my mind I was pretty sure it was a Sport. But needed a little vindication from the forum to seat it in my cranium.
The salesman kept calling and referring to it as an SLT.

I think there is some confusion on the SLT having certain options available. The Big Horn package 25G may include 20" Aluminum wheels and has the Bright Chrome Billet Grill. I read up above that the SLT does not have the chrome grill as an option...I assure all my truck does.

There were a lot of trucks locally listed as SLT\Sport\TRX and had bits of all 3 packages

20" alum is not the 20" chrome clads, they are different. You are correct in that you can get the 20" alum (silver) wheels on a SLT from the factory, but not the ones you see in the pic above.

SLT, you can also get a chrome grill, but not with the chrome mesh as a factory option, as seen above.

These were 2009 options and what you could get. I can not tell you about 2010, still reading up on them. I am sure they did these slight differences so you could pick them out in a crowd of Rams, but they really blew it with the sport grill in 2009.

Exhaust yes, gears, no. Gears not part of the sport package, was an option. 3.55s standard. R/T excluded as that package did come with 4.10s if I am not mistaken.
