2010 Sports
I ordered my '10 Sport a couple months ago here in Korea through Exchange new car sales to be delivered stateside around mid Dec. I just got my VIN # last week. When I asked when the production/delivery date would be, I was told that there was a delay on the AGG option (Sport Appearance package) until 1 Dec. http://www2.arifleet.com/news/production111909.pdf and that it could be until late Dec or Jan until it was delivered.
However, I took it upon myself to call the Dodge 800 number and inquire about its status. When they looked up my VIN, I was told it said "Order ready to proceed on line." I asked what does it mean and of course they had no idea. I'm guessing on 1 Dec, it will start going through the assembly line. Also, right after I spoke with them, I called the dealer where the truck is going to be delivered and I was told once you have a VIN #, to give it approx 2-3 weeks for delivery??? I hope it gets delivered while I am back stateside for a month. Would be a nice Christmas present

From the point it actually hits the line it will take 5-6 days to get out of the building to the point it will be ready for ship. At that point it could just sit in the yard, or may get loaded right onto the train or truck. Shipping, depending on where you are located, can be 7-21 days. Then the dealer will take 1-2 days to receive/prep before you get it. Then throw in any planned shutdowns, and I think there is a couple weeks coming up. I could be wrong but don't they take the last two weeks of the year off?
Having a VIN does not really indicate it is any closer to production. I had a VIN within a couple days of ordering. Was 3 weeks after that before that truck hit the line, then of course stalled due to the bankruptsy and began my saga.

Hmmm...anyone else have experience with the Exchange New Car Sales program? Hopefully someone who's already received their truck? I placed my original order back in April, repriced it several times since then, and was told it should be sitting on the dealer's lot waiting on me, but there's no VIN number listed in their system yet (and I haven't gotten one emailed to me). 2010 1500 Quad Cab Laramie, MSRP listed at $42k and change, paying $34k for it. I'm done here in Iraq in like 2 weeks and if it's 2-3 weeks from when they give you the VIN, I'm sitting here reading this thread going "crap..." First thing I'm doing is driving it off the lot, picking up my bike from storage, and heading back to CA (from Ft. Hood) for Christmas. I NEED that truck ready...anyone have any info on that ENCS stuff?
I invite you to read another post. Start at post 15. This shows some (not all) steps in production, and of course dates of posts. Framing is the first step of production, inspection/release would be the last step (ie ready for shipping).

By the way..... How/where did you get a 10 R/T?
