Question My 1st Dodge ((help))

Hi Guys and Gals this is my first dodge I have ever owned and I have to say #&ck a ford F-150 LOL . I bought a new 2009 Ram 1500 4x2 Talladega truck, pearl white with gray trim 1 of 40 , loaded out with leather and everything. Problem is ,I know nothing about this version of this truck. Is this a true collector truck? Any Help would be nice and helpful.

im sure its just a limited edition truck and really shouldnt be treated any different unless you want it in perfect shape for about 20 years then it will increase in price. other than that the resale value will lower just like any other truck

yeah... dodge does not do very many limited edition trucks. and when they do thet are generally runs of like 2500.

Dealers often do limited edition runs though.

I hope I am wrong though.

Dealers love to do special editions. As Frog said, Dodge does very few limited/special editions, and they've yet to do anything on the 4th Gen. While dealer editions add some great features, save yourself some headache and just treat the truck like you normally would. Don't baby it and think it'll be worth more than a normal Laramie/SLT/Sport with the same features.

Of course this is all based on that the dealer's special edition is just add-on packages and graphics. As everyone knows from Yenko and Baldwin Motion, if the dealer is adding performance upgrades then yes it could make the vehicle a collector's item.

I was told by the dealership that these trucks ran a few laps around the tracks with certain drivers inside before the talladega race started and certain deaslerships got these trucks. Also I live and bought the truck new in Alabama

As for it being worth more.... Only if.... You do not drive it any considerable miles (100-1000 a year) and you hold onto it for 20+ years. Would also help if Dodge dies.

How much did you pay for it?

Hmmm if the price is right you could own it lol only two weeks old and still very beautiful. The truck listed for over 42k. I seen the pic of that truck but mine doesn't have all those stickers on it.

I was just curious if the dealer was less willing to deal on the truck, which is why I asked what you gave.

Usually only 3 pace cars are ever driven on race day, but they usually make many more with different decal kits, or sometimes with all the decals. Not sure who makes that call.
