It pulls air from the fender well like the stock intake.

Doc is that filter a dry one? It looks like an AEM dry except blue.

 

Did you say you got the mopar kit for free? Anyone else have this kit? Prices? That thing looks sick! Let me know how it sounds, as I know just a regular K&N in a stock air box can improve engine rev sound, not to mention the performance.

 

Doc looks great. makes me want to toss the xdi. Is it louder?

 

How do you manage to get all this stuff free? Are you in denial? When I first got my 72 chevy and thought to myself couple grand and it will be ****. Well 4 years later, thousands of dollars and its still not done although it is safetied and drives well. Just needs finishing touches. I am way over in spending what I could get from the stupidest person on ebay. I am in denial about the chevy so I tell my wife and friends oh I got it half price or someone gave it to me....LOL Now talk to me Doc are you in denial?

 

Page 263 of the latest Mopar Performance Catalog lists the Mopar Cold Air Intake as P/N 77070023 for the 09 Ram 5.7L (dry meida).

MSRP = $464

 

Cool so it does come w/ a dryflow, personally I think the volant intake is the best w/ the AEM/mopar one taking second.

 

got any info on the volant kit? I pulled up their site and it shows $98... seems to low, like this is only for the filter.
