I think the biggest thing is trying to find a tech or a dealer that will do it for you. most places refuse because theyre afraid of being liable.
best bet is to find someone with a friend or get to know some of the technicians and get them to do it on their own time for you. it'll probly cost you a case of beer.

caca, what year is your truck, and where are you located.

There have been issues with some people tapping into their high beam circuit with a relay if they have daytime running lights.
I currently have an HID kit with a relay on my '04 with drl's and it works perfect. but some people have had issues with the lower wattage from the drl's burning out the relay.

If you're driving an '09 you should look into a "brite box" with fog light control
the brite box keeps your low beams activated when you turn your high beams on. and if youy get the fog light control you can activate lowbeams, high beams, and fog lights all at the same time... that should be enough light for you.

another option would be to add a switch on the dash and wire it up to your existing fog lights, then you could turn them on whenever you want, regarless of headlight position.

Im gonna double check this tomorrow but I am sure my fogs and high beams do stay on. I know I flash checked them briefly with my wife once to see if the quad lights stay on with the fogs but I did not leave it on very long to be able to see if the fogs turned off automatically. (It was about 5 seconds???)

+1 I have been driving at night with my fog lights on since I purchased the Ram truck a couple weeks ago, the Ram headlights are horrible. My previous vehicle used standard halogen bulbs and were much brighter and the high beams would turn night into day, not even a comparison to the Ram.
