so you have limited slip and 3.92 gears stock?... I didnt know I had any other option the the 355's... so its one tire fire really ( except in grass ) if I put the 3.92 or 4.10 gears in my stock rear end it wont effect the transmission will it? like i dont think you have a different transmission than me just for the bigger gears u think?

to pdavis53; I know you did not ask for one but I have a chrome 2009 rear bumper W/out the duel exhaust cutouts. If you are in the market I will sell it very cheap. it comes with the license plate lights and the top plastic piece. 150.00 bucks plus shipping. I live in Houston.

Yeah you are right about the LSD. I have never heard of changing gears it then hurting the Trans. I am no expert as you already know but I know a lot of people that have upgraded gears and never had a problem with their trans because of it. 3.92 are good for running around the roads, my personal opinion is that anything more then that would be to much unless you have a lift or other modifications that require more low end torque. That is what I think out engine lack is Low end Torue. I think that is where the Hemi is superior to our enginge. However once you get the rpm's up the truck really get's up and goes. Back to the LSD thing the axle acts more like a locker and it is more noticeable when taking short slow corner's the back tires will chirp a little bit which I always thought was because of the LSD. Now it makes me wonder why it does that. Anyway if you do the gears make sure you find a reputable shop that will warranty there work.

Cool... well I know we are no experts but would it be useless to just upgrade the gears and not throw in a limited slip chunk ( extra $700 ) and I do have 24' inch rims and next tire Im going with more tread so I was tossing around 4.10's but... when you say when you test drove both and there wasnt a HUGE difference i might go with the 4.10

and yes, there IS NO ONE HOME BELOW 4k Rpm but from 4900- 6k its screams

So I don't own a 4.7 ram, or a 5.7 ram. Hell i dont even own a ram. But I strongly recommend you stay away from any jet products. Just wait for SC or Diablo to come out with something. They will as they have in the past. Many people make the mistake of buying the first thing out there because its the only thing out there. From what Ive read about Jet tuners for both tundras and other trucks, the gains were like 5hp or less, and some even loss power. Just be patient and save your money for when something good comes available. You may want to look into a tuner thats capable of custom tuning if thats something you may be interested in down the line. I don't think Jet is custom tune able.

Yes you are right about that. I do think that is where my gears help a little they get the RPM's up a litle quicker. As for 4:10 gears I had them in a Toyota actually 4:11 but who cares, anyway they did not over rev that motor and it was a V-6. I had a lot of take off power and still got good mileage. The difference was minor, what I would do if I where you is find a dealership with a truck that has the 3.92 gears and tell them you want to trade in your truck. After the test drive leave. Sounds like a free way to test them to see if you like them to me. Dealerships have nothing better to do right now anyway.

No problem!! As for the chip, I wouldn't run anything but SC or Diablo. What I really like about SC is that they are involved in this forum and take a lot of info from the members of this site. Pretty cool if you ask, as for the Diablo I hear lot's of good things about them. Also from what I understand SC and Diablo are undetectable when you bring take the tune out when it is time for service. Anyway I will be waiting for one of those two units to be out. Hopefully they will let me be the test dumby. They do that a lot especially to member's.
