Default Help! Preformance upgrades for 09 with 4.7? Pics of CAI for 4.7?

I have been doing some searching around here and this could be a dumb question, but Im looking to do some upgrades to my 4.7.

Question, is the 4.7 in the 09 Ram the same as the 4.7 in the dakota's (newer) and the previouse rams?

Im really looking for a company who make "commerical" superchargers for the 4.7 and a MOPAR intake...

any help would be great....

ALSO pics of people with 09 ram w/ after market intakes posts would be cool to see what its like and whaty maybe i'll build

certainly not trying to be an a-hole here but a supercharger is in the 5k range so why would you buy the 4.7 setup if performance was your objective.. If your Ram is new, why not trade it, take your loss and get a hemi w/ 3.92 or 4.11 gears. ( what would you lose compared to a SC and a $450 mopar intake ? ) That and a Predator tuner running a 93 octane tune would be another option here...

Don't know if it will be the same but when I bought my 02 I think it was somewhere in 2004 until they had upgrades for it

In a perfect world I would.... but there is NO WAY i would take a hit like i would on trading a brand new truck with 12,000.... rams loose about 10,000 G's as soon as you walk off the lot... Ive put $5000 in new rims and tires... When I got the truck they didnt have the quad cab with the hemi on the lot or close by.... only fully loaded for 45,000 some crazy high.. so i was/am good with the 4.7 now and am in a better $ situation am can spend a few dollars on the 4.7...

but trading it in would be a 13-15k **** up.... im good on that...

thanks tho

wow... gay... Ive so far painted the back and front all white so eveything matches, put an HID kit, 24' rims n tires but now I cant find squat for the motor...

BUT i am going to take that big bulky fan mounted to the water pump and put and " Black Magic Flex-a-lite 180 extreme" electric fan and some dyno charts show 15hp to rear wheel for the price of the fan $300-300... CAI would but nice, but all we have to pick from is ebay garbarge, K&N witch their price show they are VERY proud of it and one other Ive had no experince with...

A computer chip deal to help with fuel/air to add some hp for the 4.7 MUST be out there somewhere?

Wow...Ignorant...those mods you can do to anything that you can drive. I think the topic here was 4.7 mods specifically. Also there is no chip for the 4.7 yet they are still trying to get all the bugs out for the Hemi first. I have asked both Superchips and Diablo about a month ago and that is what they told me. To be quite honest if I was in the engine upgrade world I wouldn't worry to much about the 4.7 either since it is reguarded to as the fuel efficient engine and not the power house. Having said that I wouldn't mind having a chip for mine I had one on my old 5.9 and I loved it.

wow.. your either a real dumb **** or just touchy. When I said " wow, gay" it was into reply to your first post as in ; " wow , gay " due to the fact " the aftermarket world has forgot about us". And I was just listing the **** i have done so far making conversation. check who started the thread before you go saying " I think the topic here was 4.7 mods specifically..."

man i really have really never seen more stuck up chump ****s on any other forum. most people are out there just to share their object of desire and to share knowledge... there is so much sword fighting here it should be a gay bar.

Here is just my observation concerning the 4.7 vs the 5.7. Up until 6 months ago, I had no idea about the current Mopar high performance. I did some research when I was in the market to upgrade my F150(V6). This is what I discovered, if you want high performance right off, get a Hemi, if you want a little horse power with slightly better MPG, get a 4.7.Just like anything else, its about what the market is bearing. It seems like the majority of Dodge Ram owners with a 4.7(flexfuel) engine are'nt purchasing a truck with high performance in mind. Myself and everybody else that buys a Hemi, are not buying it for MPG(flexfuel engines), we're buying it for the fact that it's a Hemi and if we get decent MPG, we're happy, give us the choice between MPG vs performance, guess what we're gonna choose.Just my 2 cents

Point taken, However when you use the word "gay" in a truck forum some people take offense to that. So for that I do appologize as I thought you where calling me "gay". I read the post several times to see if I was reading it right and thought I was. Now let's hope we can get this thread back on topic since I am really interested in any info on engine mod's. Happy wheeling
