Ordering New Ram. Q's- What can i expect?
Shopping around for a 2009/2010 dodge ram 1500.
I'd like a laramie, but of course that comes at a premium.
Built it on the dodge website with the options i want
laramie crew cab
5.7 hemi
ram box
media center navy
ram box
trailer brake control
Center Floor Shifter & Console
back up camera
etc.
comes to about 47k
now it looks with the current incentives and cash back allowence we got
$47,000
-$2,500 ( Northeast Customer Cash allowance )
-$5,500 ( Customer Cash Allowance )
-$1,500 ( Bonus Cash Allowance )
------------------------
$37,000
Plus i Figure my trade in is at least worth 3,000 dollars ( 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 115k )
So that brings us down to 34k or so.
Now, to my questions, That all those deals are just with current incentives and rebates and such, not working the dealer down some more cash. Being that i've never purchased a brand new automobile i really do not know what to expect.
How optimistic should i be about getting that price down closer to 30k if not below? Are there any dealer employees out there in dodgeforum land that can shine some light on this?
Also, would it be simply out of the questions to take the cash off incentives AND the Zero % financing? i know it's usually one or the other, but both would be amazing to, but who knows if they'd go for it.
( I've been looking at pre-owned as well, but i just can NOT find one with the options i like, nobody in my area has more then 3 Ram 1500s on their lot )
Also, anybody else that can offer tips or strategies to get the best deal possible i'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

the 09s have the best offers and rebates in my area right now. if u can find an 09 i would imagine they will work a little harder on those. i have never seen someone get rebates and 0%. i got 3k off mine and talked down sticker price and got more for my trade. i ended up at $33k on mine 2 months ago and that was the best deal i could work, and i looked and talked to 5 different dealers. hope this helped a little
I got roughly $14k off sticker back in March. Of course the dealer should deal better on an '09 and if I'm not mistaken the '10 doesn't come with a lifetime powertrain warranty.

umm, where are you located? I think you better check that cash back, as it seems high... or I need to renegotiate my deal on my sport. I'm pretty sure you are lookin at incentives on the 09's. I think there is only like $3k being offered on 10's.
Anyone else know if I'm being bent over the barrel or if this incentive is something new for the 10's?

2010s are just doing zero % APR for 48 months.
sucks that i cant actually find a 2009 with the options i want.
