Nice picture of the ITBC, but we already know what it looks like and have determined most dealers don't carry it yet as a part, nor do they have a part number for the pig tails. Heres the pic from under my dash, and I'm thinking the gray plug will be the connector. Now, still have to find the pig tail which is still impossible. Unable to get an answer from Curt yet.

Sounds like you need a new parts guy.

I have the gray plug also (2010) actually 2 gray plugs in the same area, but no luck finding the pig-tail---this is getting to be crazy, maybe a old plug from a later model will plug into the gray one on the 2010's, anybody got onr they can try ????

Has anybody got a 2010 1500 model with the trailer brake hooked up ???

I called 17 dealers, none have a part number for the 2010 for the pigtail. none had a part number for the oem ITBC either. If someone knows, please let us know.

I had a Prodigy in my '07, but now the new boat has surge brakes on the trailer, so I don't really need one. Both my '07 and '09 had the blue plug and came with the pigtail in the glovebox.

Ordered the Curt harness from autoanything.com. It was $18.95 and shipped free. They said its made for the 2010 specifically, but I will have to cut off the plug that attaches to the controller and use butt connectors which is the way it is for factory harnesses anyways. I'll let you know how smoothly it goes. Its a shame Dodge doesn't have one out yet.

Well?!? Inquiring minds want to know! I need to haul my trailer soon and I don't want to go buy a Prodigy if I can get the OEM parts and get them to work.

Just curious but did you call Tekonsha to see if they had a harness?

Default Trailer Brake Controller Dodge Ram 1500 2010

We just purchased a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. Very pleased with it. We need to have a trailer brake controller installed. We looked at the Prodigy and P3 proportional controller. We would like to have whatever controller installed in the slot where the ITBC should go. We were told the ITBC only comes on the 2500 and 3500 for 2010, but there is a slot for the controller. Does anyone have thoughts on having a controller put into that slot?
The Salesman we purchased the vehicle from did sell us the harness for whatever controller we do put in the truck. Thanks!

The ITBC is available to order on the 2010 on both the 1500 and HD trucks. Wonder if he sold you the correct harness being he is misinformed about the controller as it is also new? The previous model year harness will not work.

Do you have a part number from the bag it came in?
