We do travel in the winter, but not during really wintry driving conditions. We have never had to use the emergency lever, thank goodness, so far in our traveling experiences. We are leaving in a week to travel from PA to CA, so we'll let you know how the new 2010 does in it's maiden voyage. Always an adventure or two!!!
